Pesarattu
is a telegu cuisine that is similar to dosa. It is made with batter of green
gram and doesn’t contain udar dal like dosa. It is very popular breakfast in Andhra
Pradesh in India.
Ingredients
Soaked
rice 1 cup
Soaked
green moong 1 cup
Chopped
onion 1 ½ tbsp
Chopped
green chillies 1 tsp
For
batter
Ginger
juliennes 2 tbsp
Cumin
seeds 1 tsp
Oil 1 ½
tsp
To
serve
Muskmelon
wedge 1 no.
Lemon
wedge 1 no.
Coconut
chutney as required
Red
chilli powder a
pinch
For
garnish
Coriander 1 spring
Method
Take
a mixer, put overnight soaked rice and moong, chopped onion, chopped green
chilli, chopped ginger juliennes, salt, cumin seeds, water and blend to a thick
batter.

Then
remove it in a bowl and rest it for 15 minutes for formatting.
Now
add some water to batter and mix well.
Pour
some batter on non-stick flat pan and spread in round shape.

Then
add oil and make a roll and remove.

Place
the prepared pesarattu on serving plate and serve with muskmelon wedge, lemon
wedge and coconut chutney.

Garnish
with coriander spring and sprinkle red chilli powder.
