paan gulkand kheer |
It
is a kheer with flavour of betel
leaves and Gulkand (nothing but Rose petals
soaked in sugar syrup).
Ingredients
Milk 1
liter
Condensed
milk 5 tbsp
Boiled
rice 1 cup
Paan
leaves 2 nos
Almond
finely chopped 2 – 3 tsp
Pistachio
finely chopped 3 – 4 tsp
Cardamom
powder 1 tsp
Gulkand 1
½ tsp
For
garnish
Gulkand
Paan
leaves
Rose
petals
Method
Heat
milk in a pan, add condensed milk and mix well. Then add boiled rice and stir
and cook for 7 – 10 minutes or until thick.

Take
a blender, put paan leaves and ½ cup of milk and grind it well.Remove
in a bowl.

Add gulkand and mix well.

Now
in the rice mixture add almond, pistachio and cardamom powder.

Then
add gulkand – paan mixture into kheer and stir well.

Now
put 1 tsp gulkand in small serving bowl and place a half paan leave.

Then
pour kheer on gulkand.
Garnish
with rose petal and top with pistachio & almond.
