Chicken mazedar

chicken mazedar
Chicken sweet and sour preparations, cooking time 10-15 minutes for 4 persons.

Ingredients
Chicken cut into small pieces on        bone
800 grams
Oil
5 tablespoons
Bay leaf
1
Cloves
10
Cinnamon
1 inch stick
Green cardamoms
10
Black cardamoms
2
Onions sliced
6 medium
Ginger-garlic paste
2 tablespoons
Red chilli powder
1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon
Coriander powder
1 tablespoon
Tomato puree
1 cup
Salt
to taste
Garam masala powder
1 teaspoon
Sweet dates and tamarind chutney

2 tablespoons



Method
Heat oil in a non stick pan, add bay leaf, cinnamon, green cardamoms and black cardamoms, cloves, and sauté till fragrant. Add onion slices and sauté till golden brown. Then add chicken pieces, mix well and sauté for two minutes.
Then add ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and coriander powder one by one. Mix it well and sauté for few minutes. After add tomato puree and again cook for few minutes.
Add two and a half cups of water, salt, garam masala powder and the tamarind-date chutney. Mix well then cover and cook till the chicken is done. Now serve hot.
