Method
Heat 3 tablespoons oil in a non stick pan. Add ratanjot and sauté till the oil colour becomes red. Remove the ratanjot from oil and add bay leaves, black cardamoms, green cardamoms and cloves one by one. Then add onions and sauté till the onions are well browned.

Now add ginger-garlic
paste and mix it after add 1 tablespoon Kashmiri red chilli powder, fennel
powder, cardamom powder, ½ tsp garam masala powder, black peppercorns and mix
well.
Transfer this masala from
pan into a mixer jar let it slightly cool then grind it with a little water
into a smooth paste. Now heat up remaining oil in the same pan. Add chicken and
sauté for 8 minutes or till golden.
Add remaining 1
teaspoon Kashmiri red chilli powder, remaining 2 and ½ garam masala powder and
salt and mix well. Now strain the ground mixture through a strainer into a bowl
then pour mixture into the pan and mix well then add yogurt and mix well.
Now cover the pan and
cook chicken for 8-10 minutes or till the chicken is completely cooked.
Transfer this delicious preparation into a serving bowl and serve hot.
