A Telugu cuisine Pesarattu or childaa is crepe-like
bread that is similar to
dosa which is made with batter of green gram (moong dal).
A typical American
breakfast waffle is a leavened
batter or dough cooked between two plates, patterned to give
a characteristic size, shape and surface impression.
So here the waffle made in Indian style with
green gram and served with pineapple mixture.
Ingredients
For waffle
Soaked rice 1
cup
Soaked green moong 1 cup
Asafoetida ½
tsp
Finely chopped onion 2 tbsp
Oil 1
tsp
Salt to
taste
For pineapple and tomato mixture
Oil 1
tbsp
Curry leaves 7
– 10 nos.
Diced pineapple 1
cup
Method
To prepare pesarattu batter
Take a mixer, add soaked rice, soaked green
moong, asafoetida, salt and blend well.

Now remove this mixture in a bowl.

Then add salt, chopped onion and mix well.

Rest this mixture for 15 – 20 minutes.
To prepare pineapple tomato mixture
Heat oil in a pan, add curry leaves, diced
pineapple, diced tomatoes, salt, lemonjuice and toss then off the oven.

To prepare waffle
Heat a waffle maker and put little oil then
pour the batter in two portions and cover it.

Once cooked open the cover and remove them.

Then cut from the centre.

Now arrange the prepared fruit mixture on
serving plate and place waffle on it.
