besan halwa |
Besan (gram flour) halwa is a rich, sweet, traditional Punjabi
favourite for any celebrations and puja.
It's also helpful for curing sore throats.
Ingredients
Clarified butter (ghee) ½ cup
Gram flour 1
cup
For doodh ki chaashni
Milk 1
½ cup
Powdered sugar ½ cup
Cardamom powder 1 tsp
Saffron water 1
tsp
For garnish
Rose leaves
Silver foil
Method
To prepare doodh ki chaashni
In a pan heat up milk, add powdered sugar,
cardamom powder, saffron water then stir and let it cook.

In another pan heat clarified, add gram flour
and stir well.
put besan in ghee and stir |
Now add the saffron milk into gram flour and keep
stirring
add milk mixyure in besan |
Strring continuously until it becomes smooth thick mixture.

Now pour the besan in a bowl and garnish
them with rose leaves by putting the silver foil on it.
