Crispy Ravioli

Fried ravioli, a popular appetizer in St. Louis, Missouri, is breaded and deep-fried pasta stuffed with healthy spinach ricotta mixture.

Ingredients
Pasta dough                             as required
Whisked egg                             as required
Oil                                            to fry
Butter                                       to pan fry
For filling
Blanched and cut spinach          ½ cup
Mustard powder                        1 pinch
Ricotta cheese                          ¼ cup
Salt                                          to taste

Method
For pasta dough
In a bowl, add refined flour, egg and mix it then add milk and make soft dough and rest it for 10 minutes.
For filling
In a bowl add chopped blanched spinach, mustard powder, ricotta cheese and mix well.

Now take portion from dough and roll out in thin flat round.
Then cut in small rounds with the help of round cutter.

Put whisked egg on all small rounds.

Put the filling on few rounds.

Then cover with other rounds.

Heat oil and butter in a pan.
Deep fry these stuffed rounds till light brown and the butter becomes brown.

Remove them on plate.

In the same hot butter add sliced tomato, salt.

Then take out skin and put on fried round and garnish with parsley.
