Apple Toffee

Chinese Toffee Apples is a very popular dessert. Deep-fried crispy coated apple fritters soaked in honey syrup with sesame seeds.

Ingredients
Apple wedges                           6 nos.
For batter
Refined flour                              1 cup                                       
Cornstarch                                ½ cup
Egg                                          2
Water                                       as required
For syrup
Water                                        ½ cup
Sugar                                        ¼ cup
Honey                                       ¼ cup
Sesame seeds                           2 tbsp
Yellow colour                              a pinch
Oil                                             to fry
Mint leaves                                 for garnish

Method
To prepare batter
In a mixing bowl, add refined flour, cornstarch, egg and mix well.
Then add required water and make a thick batter and keep aside for 10 minutes.
To prepare syrup
In a pan heat water, sugar, honey and yellow colour and let it thick on low flame.

Heat oil in another pan.
Now coat the apple wedges in batter and deep fry until light brown.

Remove the fried apple on tissue.

In the syrup add sesame seeds and remove from oven.
add sesame seeds in honey syrup 
Then put the fried apple wedges in syrup and coat well.

Now put the coated apple in chilled water and remove them.

soak the fried apple in cold water 
Place them on serving plate and garnish with mint leaves.
