Mean Mouli

mean mouli
It is a popular south Indian dish with red snapper fish base on coconut milk. Best match with hot rice. Very tasty and easy to cook.

Ingredients
Red snapper fish                       1 kg
Refined oil/coconut milk             50 ml
Fenugreek seed                        2 tbsp
Onion                                       1 sliced
Grated ginger                            2 tsp
Green chillies                            2 nos
Curry leaves                              4-5 nos friend

Method
To make curry
Heat oil in pan and add fenugreek seeds and sauté.
Add onion sliced and sauté little bit, add julian ginger, green chillies, curry leaves and sauté well for 2 minutes.
Now add turmeric powder and chlli powder and stir.

Then add coconut milk, stir and let it cook for 8-10 minutes in low flame.

Fry the mean
In the mean time cut fish in your required sizes. Then marinate it with turmeric powder and salt for 4-5 minutes.

Heat oil in another pan and add marinated fish in it and toss until light brown from both sides.

Then add this fishes into coconut curry. Move the pan and let it cook for 3-5 minutes.

The mean mouli is ready to serve.
