corn spinach samosa |
A famous Indian snack, is a fried pastry
with filling of corn and spinach.
Ingredients
For
dough
Wheat
flour 1 cup
Refined
flour 1 cup
Hot
oil 3
– 4 tbsp
For
filling
Oil 2
tbsp
Butter 1
tsp
Cumin
seeds 1 tsp
Garlic
chopped 1 tsp
Onion
chopped ¼ cup
Corn ½
cup
Boiled
spinach ½ cup
Coriander
powder 1 tsp
Red
chilli powder ½ tsp
Fenugreek
1 tsp
Salt to
taste
For
prepare
Mixture as required
Cornstarch
and water
Oil
to
fry
To
serve
Green
chutney as
required
Salad as
required
Method
For
dough
Take
a bowl add wheat flour, refined flour and oil and mix then add required water
and knesd it into dough, let it rest for 10 minutes.
For
filling
Within
this time heat oil in pan add butter, cumin seeds, chopped garlic and sauté.
Now
add chopped onion, corn, boiled spinach and mix it well.

Now
add salt, coriander powder, red chilli powder and dried fenugreek and mix well.

For
samosa
Take
some portion of dough, dust refined flour over it, flatten the dough and cut it
into stripes.

Now
fold the stripes and stuff the filling in it.

Seal
the samosa’s fold with the help of cornstarch and water mixture.

Then
deep fry the samosas until golden brown.

Remove
on a tissue paper.

Serve
with salad and green chutney.
