Chicken in roasted coconut gravy

chicken in roasted coconut gravy
It is a chicken dish from Kerala, very tasty and easy to prepare. Try it.

Ingredients
Chicken cubes                          500 gm
Poppy seed paste                     2 tbsp
Coconut paste                          2 tbsp
Cardamom                                2
Cloves                                      2
Onion chopped                          3 big
Ginger garlic paste                    1 tbsp
Red chilli paste                         1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder                       1 tsp
Coriander powder                      1 tsp
Turmeric powder                        1 tsp
Desi dhee                                 1 ½ tbsp

Method
Heat oil in a pan, add cardamom, cloves, both dals, chopped onion and stir until soft.
Now add ginger garlic paste and stir.

Add poppy seed paste, coconut paste and mix them well.

Then add coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and mix well.
Now add red chilli paste and stir well.
add dry masala
Add some water and cook for 2-3 minutes on low flame.
In the mean time heat-up ghee in other pan.
Add chicken into hot ghee and stir for 1-2 minutes.

Now pour chicken in masala and mix well.
Add some water and salt, then cover and cook for 4 to 5 minutes or until cook.

Roast cashew nut in same ghee,then add to chicken and mix well.

Yummy Chicken is ready to serve.
