Murgi palang paturi/Chicken palak paturi

murgi palang paturi
Delicious Bengali dish of chicken in banana leaves. It is very tasty and easy to cook. Best match with hot rice. Cooking time is 10-15 minutes, serving for 4. Try it, and enjoy the taste.

Ingredients
Boneless chicken                     150 gm
Palang blanched                       50 gm
Yogurt                                      40 gm
Ginger paste                             45 gm
Green chilli paste                      25 gm
Mustard oil                               20 ml
Lemon juice                              50 ml
Mustard seed paste                   20 gm
Green papaya paste                  10 gm
Coconut paste                           40 gm
Banana leaves                           4
Salt                                          to taste
Sugar                                       to taste

Method
First cut the boneless chicken in slice.
Take a bowl add sliced chicken, papaya paste, lemon juice, ginger paste and salt, mix well and keep for 20 minutes.
Now take another bowl and add yogurt, coconut paste, blanched spinach chopped, mustard paste, mustard oil, salt and sugar, mix it nicely.

Add marinated chicken in it and mix.

Now cut banana leave in shape of 4inch square. Roast from both sides direct in low flame for a second to make it soft. Now put some mixture on each banana leave, then fold them and bind with a string.

Now heat little oil in nonstick pan, add chicken in folded banana leave and fry from both sides for 8 minutes in low flame.

Now open the string and serve chicken with the leaves, with hot rice.
