This delicious North
Indian dessert that is easy and quick to prepare. Panjeeri is a very nutritional supplement for women who have
delivered a child.
It is usually given
to new mothers, as an aid to lactation.
The ingredients in it are believed to increase milk supply, treated as a
nutritional supplement.
Ingredients
Ghee 2
½ cups
Edible gum 3
tbsp
Pumpkin seeds 2 tbsp
Watermelon seeds 2 tbsp
Lotus seeds ½
cup
Wheat flour 2
cups
Carom seeds 1
tsp
Powdered sugar ½ cup
For garnish
Pistachio 1
tbsp
Cherries few
Method
Heat ghee in a pan, fry the edible gum,
watermelon seeds, pumpkin seeds and remove in a bowl.

Now crush the edible gum.
Blend the mixture of pumpkin and watermelon
seeds and add to crushed edible gum mixture.
Now heat ghee in a pan, add wheat flour,
carom seeds and the prepared mixture of edible gum and stir well.

Remove in a bowl.
Add powdered sugar and mix well.

Remove in a serving bowl.

Then chop the pistachio and cherries and
garnish the prepared panjeeri with this.
