Veg haleem

veg haleem
It is a popular dish from lakhnow. Very healthy and tasty dish and easy to cook.

Ingredients
Soya nuggets soaked and          1 cup
ground
Broken wheat soaked (dalia)       2 ½ tbsp
Soaked barley                           ½ cup
Onion                                       2 nos
Garlic finely chopped                 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder                        1 tsp
Red chilli powder                       ½ tsp
Coriander powder                      1 tsp
Cumin powder                           1 tsp
Cinnamon powder                     ½ tsp
Almond powder                         3 tbsp
Clove powder                            a pinch
Kashmiri chilli powder                2 tsp
Curd                                        1 cup
Butter                                      2 tbsp
Oil                                           2 tbsp
Chopped mint                           2 tbsp
Chopped coriander                    2 tbsp
Lemon juice                              1 no
For garnish
Fried onions                             2 tbsp
Coriander                                 1 spring

Method
First finely chop onions.
Heat a non-stick pan, add oil and butter together.
Then add chopped garlic, stir and add chopped onion and stir.
Now add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, cinnamon powder and mix well.

Then add soaked and ground soya nuggets, soaked broken wheat and soaked barley and mix well.

Cover the pan and let it cook for 5-8 minutes or until soft.
When it cooked remove cover and add curd, almond powder, kashmiri chilli powder, clove powder and mix well and let it cook for 2 minutes.

Now add finely chopped mint and finely chopped coriander and mix well.
add herbs  
Remove in a serving bowl garnish with fried onion and coriander spring.
