tri fruit burfi |
It
is a burfi of three colours: green, white and orange, with cashew-nut,
pistachio, almond and saffron. So I am presenting it specially for our
independence day.
Ingredients
For
white portion:
Cashew
nut powder ½ cup
Almond
powder ¼ cup
Sugar
syrup 2 tbsp
For
green potion:
Pistachio
powder ½ cup
Almond
powder ¼ cup
Sugar
syrup 2 tbsp
For
orange portion:
Cashew-nut
powder ½ cup
Almond
powder ¼ cup
Saffron
powder ½ tsp
Sugar
syrup 2 tbsp
Method
For
white portion
Heat
pan, add cashew-nut powder then almond powder roast with spatula for few
seconds add sugar syrup, stir then remove to bowl.
For green portion
Heat
pan, add pistachio powder then almond powder roast with spatula for few seconds
add sugar syrup and stir then remove to bowl.
For orange portion
Heat
pan, add cashew-nut powder then almond powder roast with spatula for few
seconds add saffron powder, sugar syrup and stir then remove to bowl.
For burfi
First
make a ball of pistachio mixture on your palm, now flatten white mixture then
place the pistachio ball at center and cover the green ball, so the green ball gets vanished and become a white ball.
Again
flatten the orange mixture on your palm, place the white ball at center and
cover it, so it becomes a orange ball.
Cut
orange ball in 4 portions carefully. You can see three colours of burfi.
Now
on the serving plate drizzle pistachio powder, place these 4 tricolour burfi
then drizzle saffron over them. Tiranga burfi is ready to serve.
