Postor bora / Poppy seed tikki

postor bora / poppy seed tikki
It is a signature dish of every Bengali household. Very easy to prepare this yummy tasty tikki, served as starter. So try and enjoy it with rice.

Ingredients
Poppy seed                              6 tbsp
Green chillies                            4 – 5
Salt                                          to taste
Mustard oil                                1 tbsp

Method
First soak the poppy seed in grinder for 2 – 3 hours.
Then add green chillies and make a thick smooth paste.
Remove in a bowl, add salt and mix well.

Heat oil on a pan, and then slow down the flame.
Take some portion of it and put on hot oil as tikki and make some more.

Fry from both sides until brown on low flame.

Remove and serve with rice.
