cabbage pancakes with carrot ketchup |
It is a very healthy and different type of
breakfast with pancakes.
Ingredients
Chopped cabbage 1 cup
Gram flour 2
cups
Chopped green chillies 1 tsp
Ginger chopped 1
tsp
Coriander leaves chopped 2 tbsp
Onion chopped 1 no
Cumin powder 1
½ tsp
Red chilli powder 1 tsp
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Baking powder 1 tsp
Salt to
taste
For carrot ketchup
Carrot purees 2
cups
Honey ¼ cup
White vinegar 1
½ tbsp
Salt to taste
For salad
Green cabbage ¼
no
Blue cabbage ¼
no
Black pepper to
taste
Coriander leaves chopped 2 tbsp
Soya sauce 1
½ tsp
For garnish
Garlic green stalk as required
Black pepper to
taste
Method
For batter
Take a bowl, add gram flour, chopped cabbage,
coriander chopped, onion chopped, cumin powder, red chilli powder, turmeric
powder, baking powder, salt, water and make a batter.

Let it rest for 5 minutes.
For carrot ketchup
Heat pan and add carrot puree, honey, white
vinegar and salt then let it reduce on low flame.
Keep aside.

For pancake
Heat 1 tbsp oil on pan and make pancakes of
the prepared batter.

Shallow fry the pancakes from both sides
until golden brown.

Now with the help of a ring cutter cut the
pancakes into circle.
For plating
Chop the green and blue cabbage into long
strips and roast them on a dry pan.
Add crushed black pepper, chopped coriander
and soya sauce.

On serving plate place the prepared salad, then place the pancake on these, and apply carrot ketchup on it.

Then place some more salad and make similar 2
more layers.

Decorate the plate with carrot ketchup.

Top with garlic green stalk and sprinkle crushed black pepper.
