Bhakarvadi

Bhakarvadi
It is a popular dish from Gujrat. It is made with gram flour, sesame seeds, grated coconut etc. now you can make it in your kitchen.

Ingredients
Pokoda (besan)                         5-6
Grated coconut                         ½ cup
Sev                                          2-3 tbsp
Poppy seeds                            2 tbsp
White sesame seeds                2 tbsp
Salt                                         to taste
Turmeric powder                       ¼ tsp
Red chilli powder                      1 tbsp
Garam masala                         ¾ tbsp
Roasted Cumin powder             ½ tbsp
Grated sugar                            2 tbsp
Jaggery & peanut chutney         as required
Oil                                           for fry
For Dough
Gram flour                                5 tbsp
Refined flour                             5 tbsp
Salt                                         to taste
Red chilli powder                      ½ tbsp
Turmeric powder                       1 pinch
Oil                                           2 tbsp
For Serving
Green chutney

Method
Take a big bowl, put gram flour (besan), refined flour (maida), red chilli powder, salt, turmeric powder, hot oil and water. Mix to prepare the dough ( should not be very soft).

Now take another bowl and add mashed pakoda (with besan,chilli powder and salt), grated coconut, sev, poppy seeds, sesame seeds, salt, turmeric powder, chilli powder, garam masala, roasted cumin powder and sugar powder. Then make the mixture.

Now roll out the dough in big round, then brush it with jaggery and peanut chatney. Now put the mixture in it and spread. Now roll the dough.

Now cut this roll in round slice. Press little bit each slice so that the mixture will not come out. Now fry slices in low flame until golden brown and crunchy.

Your Bhakarvadi is ready to serve with green chutney.
